Friday 9:30-10:30 10:30-11:30

Level 1 classes are for people with moderately impaired balance and walking gait

Level 2 classes are for people with slightly impaired balance and walking gait.

Goals of level 1 classes and level 2 classes include

  • have fun
  • improve abilities to maintain stable posture
  • improve functional balance
  • improve ability to walk
  • decrease the risk of falls
  • improve coordination and speed of movement
  • improve strength, power, and endurance
  • improve flexibility, decrease rigidity
  • improve abilities to cope with Parkinson's disease
  • live as active and healthy as possible in spite of Parkinson's disease.

Exercise is something we have to do for ourselves. No one else can exercise for us and no pills can do for us what exercise does for us. There is no such thing as an exercise pill.
